About
Katerina Nakou is an award-winning textile artist and designer from Athens, Greece.
Katerina has a BA in Textile Design from Reutlingen University in Germany, where she also pursued her Master’s studies in Design and Artistic Conception. Her educational pursuits have taken her across Europe, from Norway to the Netherlands and Austria, where she completed textile trainings at renowned textile institutions. She specializes in handweaving, digital Jacquard weaving and Tufting.
For her work ”Interwoven – On weaving coding and language” she was awarded with the Grand Prize at IDEEC 2023 (International Design Education Expo and Conference) in Korea.
